Our common areas provide ideal comfort with beautiful Cody Country views while at K3 Guest Ranch. The Lodge provides guests the perfect place to relax, read, view wildlife, enjoy cocktails & hors d’oeuvres, and make the most of their western vacation.
Comfortable western-themed furnishings and accessories fill the Great Room creating a relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. Huge picture windows look out over the K3 hay fields to the expansive wall of mountains to the south and west. There may be deer or antelope grazing in the hay fields, hawks and eagles circling above, and often a distant summer shower will grace the sky with a rainbow! A spotting scope and several pairs of binoculars are available for guests to use.
The Great Room is located on the second floor of the Lodge. A large staircase in the hallway connects to the first floor dining room and a spiral staircase beside the picture windows also descends to first floor dining room and kitchen. Both the Teton and Rocky Mountain guest rooms adjoin the Great Room.
The western theme continues in the Dining Room and Kitchen at the K3 Guest Ranch Bed & Breakfast with handmade copper doors, Western artwork on the walls, and bentwood chairs around the tables. Guests enjoy a hearty western breakfast served at 8:00 am.
The indoor dining room and kitchen are used for breakfast on mornings when the weather does not permit outdoor patio meals. For larger groups and special events, the dining room seats up to 48 people. Huge picture windows look out to part of the garden and then over the hayfields to the great wall of mountains in the south and west.
Located directly out of the dining room and kitchen doors of the Lodge, the BBQ Patio is used each morning to serve a hearty western breakfast of bacon, eggs, pancakes, and sheepherder spuds, or perhaps scrambled eggs, bacon, and french toast, cooked over an outdoor grill on a wood fire. Nothing like wood smoke, a hearty breakfast, and coffee to get your day off to a great start! (Weather permitting, of course). The BBQ Patio provides a panoramic view of the ranch’s hay fields, the beautiful K3 flower gardens, and the entire Southfork Valley.
The K3 Guest Ranch Bed & Breakfast gardens have been chosen as an example of excellent “hardscape” design. Water is at a premium here in cowboy country, so gardens are planted with colorful annuals and perennials native to this region or other hot and dry areas of the world. When you visit, you may see Prairie Coneflower, Black-Eyed Susans, Poppies, Artemisias, Iris, or other new and familiar favorites. Guests find comfortable patio furniture scattered throughout the patios and gardens, providing perfect relaxation spots. The lush green lawns surrounding the lodge are a perfect place for strolling barefoot or playing a game of horseshoes.
The breathtaking views from the top of Meditation Hill are just one more reason to choose K3 Guest Ranch Bed & Breakfast as your stopping point when visiting Cody, Wyoming. The red clay buttes of Meditation Hill sit strikingly alongside the green meadows of the ranch, and beside Sulphur Creek as it winds its way through the fields. Follow the winding path to the top of the hill and you’ll find the Indian Meditation Chair. Sit, relax, and enjoy the beauty that surrounds you.
